Albany State losing streak up 4 with loss to Georgia Southwestern

The Albany State men’s basketball team has now lost 4-games in a row after losing (65-56) to the Georgia Southwestern Hurricanes at the ASU West Campus Arena on Monday evening.  It was the Golden Rams second loss to the Hurricanes this season.  With the loss, the Golden Rams fell to (4-5) overall while the Hurricanes improved to (6-1) on the season. 
 
The Golden Rams started strong and led (26-23) at the half.  But, the Hurricanes pulled away late and surged to a 9 point victory over the Golden Rams.  The Golden Rams shot 31.6% from the field, 22.2% from the 3 point line and 57.1% from the free throw line.
 
Blaise Wallace led the Golden Rams with 18 points and 8 rebounds.  Reggie Jamesfinished with 12 points and 4 rebounds.  Andy Antoine added 10 points and 8 rebounds.
 
As a team, the Hurricanes shot 44.3% from the field and 83.3% from the free throw line.  The Golden Rams pressure defense caused the Hurricanes to shoot (1-10) from the 3-point line.
 
JaKwon Moore led the Hurricanes with 20 points and 9 rebounds.  Bryce Turner added 13 points and 9 rebounds.  Jaylon Jordan also finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
 
The Golden Rams will be back in action against Central State University on Community Day at 3:00 pm at the ASU West Campus Arena on Saturday, December 16.
